Technology
There are thousands if not millions of types of technology out there today. A good portion of them have impacted my life. Everyday the computer impacts my life. If the computer was not invented then I would feel lost. I do alot of my stuff on computers. I manage my bank account, pay bills, and check news all on the computer. My computer is used to do almost all of my homework as well. Another technology that impacts my life is the automobile. I use my car everyday and could not imagine not having a car. The safety features that it has also an important technological advancement in society. The last thing that I am going to talk about that plays a large part in my life is the cell phone. I use my cell phone every day and feel naked without it. Not only do I call people on it but its a way that I can surf the web and commuicate with people via text messaging. If all of those technologies that I listed were taken away from me I do not know if I would be able to function. Well, I think I would manage but it would take a lot of getting used to.

Cyberculture
I was introduced to cyberculture when I was like ten. I never have really gotten into the whole thing to be honest with you. I think that the computer is an amazing machine but I think people are misusing it when they do some of the things they are doing with it. The thing that I dislike the most is the ways people have been communicating over the internet. I do not believe in making friends on the computer. People are totally different online and its NOT REAL! Okay your not outgoing and sometimes shy, you get behind a computer and now you have the courage to talk to people? Then what are you going to do when you are in a real place with these people? Some people meet a boyfriend or girlfriend on the computer. In my opinion that is horrible. I do no think thats right in any way. I think that facebook and myspace would be alrite if you used it just as a way to communicate with your current friends and not to make new friends.

Popular Culture
I think that I have greatly been affected by popular culture ever since I was a young kid. It seems like when I was younger I was doing different things every day. Trends seem to just change every week. Popular culture has also shaded my friends somewhat. My friends and I for the most part are interested in the same things. We listen to the same music and pretty much like all of the same movies. New music and movies are constantly coming out though. Then, we start listening and watching whats new. The clothes I tend to wear are usually what is popular and at the mall. Every time that I go it seems as if they have different styles out. It gets pretty expensive to constantly be buying the latest clothes. Not only does popular culture affect clothes, music and movies, technology is largely affected by popular culture. You buy a fifteen hundred dollar computer and by the next year after you purchase it, its outdated. It is hard to keep up with popular culture. Most people seem to be able to keep up though. I think that says a lot about this generation. We seem to be forever changing, nothing stays the same. I think my generation does not have a good idea of tradition. Why keep something as it is if we can improve it?
